Baptiste (Claude) DAVID

Baptiste C. David is the founder of OKLR — a Boutique Brand, Creative & Design consulting studio based in Sydney, Australia.

His path into design started somewhere unexpected: science, mathematics and computer algorithms. That early grounding still shapes the way he works today, approaching design as a system to understand, simplify and give structure to, rather than a surface to decorate. At university, he discovered Flash animation and, with it, a passion and a medium that brought everything he was interested in together: design, technology, interactivity, motion and sound. When Flash disappeared, that multidisciplinary instinct stayed.

Over the two decades that followed, Baptiste built a career across France and Australia, working across brand identity, digital experiences, motion and creative direction for agencies, startups, technology companies and global brands.

In 2020, he co-founded DOUBLESTAR CO with Creative Strategist Jye Smith, building a brand and digital agency working across the creative, technology and resources sectors. Today, Baptiste runs OKLR — a boutique, AI-augmented design studio built around a more direct way of working. Instead of passing a project through layers of strategists, designers, developers and motion artists, with the original idea shifting a little at every handover , Baptiste stays hands-on from strategy through to execution.
